Rimmel Provocalips

New Provocalips from Rimmel provide a lightweight stain that stills feels comfortable on the lips even after hours of wear.

The duo end lip stain has a quick drying colour at one end and a gloss at the other end.
We tested three of the eight shades available.
The doe foot applicator allows colour to be applied with precision. The applicator fits into the corners of the lips and spreads the formula well. The colour goes on naturally and a little transparent in places but after another coat it gives an opaque finish. Once on this only took a few seconds to dry off.
The gloss end which also has the foam doe foot applicator needs to be applied once the colour stain is fully dried. The gloss is a really nice texture, almost like a balm but with a high reflective finish. It doesn't feel sticky but just really creamy and comfortable.
The gloss doesn't make the colour separate at all. The gloss will of course rub off as the day goes on but the colour underneath will remain. You will need to top up the gloss after a few hours.

We have three colours to show you..

The shades do come up a little darker than they look in the tube. You definitely need the gloss to bring these colours to life. Without it the shades would look dull and would feel quite dry on the lips.

Before gloss
After gloss

I scrubbed and scrubbed at my arm to get these stains off and they would not budge. To remove you need to use an oily eye makeup remover or cleansing oil. Even after taking off properly you will still have a slight stain!

After washing!!

These are £6.99 each and available from multiple sites so check out http://uk.rimmellondon.com to find the best stockist for you.

  3. I bought one yesterday and I really like them, I was a bit sceptical as usually these types of lipglosses make your lips feel dry but this is the only one I've found that doesn't. Check out my blog at: victoriaroseuk.blogspot.com

    1. Watch their video 'things we dislike' about people advertising their own videos or blogs on theirs. It's rude.
