This year's Chanel collection takes its inspiration from the humble feather. Soft subtle tones embellished with gold and silver. Silvery whites and dove greys are the muted tones but Chanel have thrown in a vibrant red for the lips and nails for added attraction. After all, what's a festive collection without a splash of red?
The centre piece for the collection is the illuminating powder Camélia De Plumes (£47.00). Embossed with the feather motif in the shape of a Camellia flower.
The 8g powder comes in the classic black Chanel mirrored compact nestled into a velvet pouch with brush.
The colour is a platinum shade but infused with the warmth of a pearly gold. Highlights the skin beautifully without and harsh glitter, just pure radiance.
Sweep over the cheekbones and eye lid for a moonlit radiance.
For the eyes there is a five shadow compact (£42.00). A warm and cool palette of silver and gold to highlight with three darker shades of silver/grey, lavender/plum and a rich smokey purple/black.
The rouge Allure Velvet lipstick in La Flamboyante (£26.00) is a gorgeous velvet, creamy texture with a solid, rich colour. The red is pillar box red and makes teeth look pearly white.
The Nail colour in Phenix (£18.00) is an exact match for the lips.
This collection is for Christmas 2014 and is launched nationwide in stores and online from 7th November 2014.
