We have spoken about exfoliating toners before however always in a liquid form.
Zelens resurfacing pads comprises of 50 thin, cotton pads which are saturated with various exfoliating ingredients.
Hydroxy acids in this product will exfoliate the outer most layer of skin. Salicylic acid helps to resurface the skin whilst helping to clear out dead skin blocking the pores. This ingredient is also anti inflammatory so will help to reduce any redness from acne.
If you suffer from dark spots, acne scarring, enlarged pores, pigmentation and fine lines these are amazing.
The pads are saturated but not so wet that they leave you looking soaked! They pick up any remaining dirt left on the skin after your initial cleanse. If you have any recent blemishes which are still healing you will find these do sting slightly but they do help speed up the healing. I had flaky skin around my nose from a recent cold and after wiping the pad over the area a few times all the dry skin was removed.
Suitable for all skin even sensitive types but amazing on a problematic skin. These also help to bind moisture to the skin so if you have a dryer skin type these will still benefit you.
Obviously these are not going to be cheap. For 50 pads they are £65.00. For a problematic skin maybe just use in the evening so that at least you get 7 weeks use out of them. For general skin maintenance use a couple of times a week for 25 weeks worth of use. Perfect product if you are getting married in the next few months and want to get your skin in optimum condition for the big day.
Do make sure you keep the lid tightly screwed on and store in a cool, dry place (not your bathroom) otherwise they will dry out.

Wondering if these would work on my sun spots, they've really got quite pronounced now and tbh I'm getting fed up with having to conceal them all the time. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteThey will help for sure. Make sure you are also wearing a high SPF also
DeleteThese sound amazing - wish I could afford them.

Malin + Goetz also do glycolic acid pads with a 10% strength. They come in a jar of 50 and they're a bit cheaper at £38. You can get them from Space NK. They're really good, but I'm up for trying these too.
ReplyDeleteThese sound amazing, a little on the pricey side for me, though!

I've never tried the Zelens pads, but another brand, First Aid Beauty does a similar thing for $25. I know they can be bought in the UK on feelunique.com and other sites. I have dry skin that would always get flaky in the winter, but with those pads, I really noticed a huge difference. No flakiness at all, and my moisturizer really penetrated the skin afterwards (I use the First Aid Beauty moisturizer as well). I think they are a good, cheaper alternative to the Zelens ones. Maybe you should review the range, they seem to have a lot of really well priced high quality products.
