Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet

New Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks from Bourjois are similar to ones we have seen from YSL however at a much more affordable price.
Doe foot applicator style wand dispenses the liquid lipstick with precision onto the lips.
It has a velvet texture (obviously) that has a little bit of play time to it rather than drying off instantly.
We tested four colours in 02 Frambourjoise, 05 Ole Flamingo, 08 Grand Cru and 06 Pink Pong.

Colour vibrancy is good although I found that the deep red called 08 Grand Cru was a little patchy on application and needed to be layered more than the other shades to achieve an even texture.
The colours dried off to a total matte finish and boy do these stain! The longevity is great and when they do begin to fade away you are left with a feint stain of the colour on the lips. These are a good dupe for YSL Rouge pur couture lip stains. The smell of these are a little strange but after thinking about what it reminded me of I think it is cooked rhubarb!!

The staining after removal can be seen above!!

There are eight colours in total including nude, corals, reds and browns.
Numbers 1-8 from left to right.

These launch mid April and are £8.99 each. They are available from
