This years (and I think they have previously done this theme) is zodiac signs.
We took a look at the pressed powder zodiac compacts. These 2.8g gold compacts are embossed with a design unique to that individual star sign. There are also tiny delicate sparkling gems set into each design. Approximate dimensions: 2-1/8" diameter x 1/2" thick.
Inside is a pressed translucent powder, slim powder puff and a mirror.
The powder is the Lucidity translucent powder that gives a natural radiance to the skin.
The powder will lightly matte skin down without providing any colour.
Would be suitable for porcelain to medium skin tones.
It would look to ashy on an olive through to darker skin tone.

The powder comes in a midnight blue, velvet pouch and sits in a golden box. Inside is a note describing the characteristics of that particular star sign.
Here are ours...
Sam is a Leo (only just!) born on the 23rd August.
Leo's are described inside as full of pride, passion and generosity. A natural born leader and extremely loyal to your loved ones.

We think these are so decadent and luxurious and as they are refillable it eases your conscience at spending £65.00 on each.
These are limited edition so get them while you still can.
look stunning but £65 is too much!

I think they look quite tacky, and the price is ridiculous!

Those are so memorizing o_o
ReplyDeleteIt is great that these are refillable as they are expensive but I cannot help but instantly think of how tacky the packaging is. As elaborate as it is I think Gold has to be done well but I don't think Estee have got it right this time!

We share a birthday, Sam! All this time, I didn't know, haha! But our birthday is on the cusp and I always identified as a Virgo, that's interesting how that works out.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, they're lovely, but I don't think I would get one.
I would love to have the "Taurus" one!!!
ReplyDeleteI've definitely seen these before at the counter and I love the look etc. but I think £65 is definitely a bit much for a compact! Nice product though :)

If your conscious is eased, you are probably dead. I think you mean "conscience"?

When I first heard about these I really wanted to like them, I'm just not a fan of the gold glittery look though, and they definitely don't seem worth the price tag.

So beautiful and I was really tempted to buy one until I saw the price. I can buy something similar and as good as this at H&M for 40kr (£4).

I love all of them except for the Gemini, which is what I am. Shame.
