Braun Silk epil 7

We have been testing out the Braun Silk Epil 7 over the last few weeks.
Having never really used an epilator before we were worried about the pain factor involved.
To be honest at the beginning it is slightly painful but the more frequently you use it the weaker the hair becomes and the less painful it becomes.
The epilator head is on a rolling mechanism that contains tiny close grip tweezer style pincers.

Set on a pivoting head these glide over the skin to aid hair removal from even awkward areas such as the under arm. Even the tiniest hairs as short as 0.5mm can be removed.
A great feature is that it can be used wet or dry so you can whizz it over your legs whilst in the bath or shower.
There are two speed settings No 1 setting will give gentle epilation and No2 setting will speed up the process for a more efficient epilation.
We found it kept hairs at bay for around 4 weeks and the more we have been using it, the less frequently the hairs are coming through.

The epilator head is easily removed and can be substituted for the included brush head that removes dead skin cells and helps to brighten the skin.
Use this head before or after epilating to stimulate skin to reveal a radiant glow and to also help reduce the chance of ingrowing hair.
Using the brush head also feels very soothing after epilation.

Be sure to use the tiny brush included to give your epilator head a brush through after use. Keeps it free from hair and hygienic.
The epilator is cordless but will need to be charged up after around 40 minutes of use.

This epilator is normally priced at £169.99 and we have 3 to give away to three lucky people.
All you have to do is check out the video below of us talking about this fab product and leave a comment. We will then randomly select the winners. Good luck guys.

  2. I have really dark hairs and this seems like an amazing product for me, because no matter what I have usedu can still see a shadow like sam said. Also love the idea of being able to exfoliate before or after as I get really dry legs from shaving and a bonus that it doesn't remove your tan! X

  7. I'd love to try this out! Purely because I'm lazy at this time of year when it comes to shaving...and if it keeps you hair free for up to 4 weeks that's good enough for me! :)

  8. I've heard tales of the horrors of epilator hair removal but I've always been too terrified to stay to hear the end of such stories. Can there really be a happy ending to such a scary story?

  9. Oh wauw, that would be amazing to win! I always get ingrown hairs on my legs and because of my very light skin they show up as terrible red spots :-( This would probably help a lot!

  13. I've wanted to try epilating for a long time! My skin/hair situation is exactly like Nic's. I hate the irritation and gross ingrown hair bumps I get from shaving. This silk-epil with the brush attachment sounds brilliant! Would love to give it a go!

  14. Oh! I'd love to try one of these! I bought one epilator many years ago; it hurts a bit but it does its job The problem is my 16 years old daughter is terrified of using it but I think she would love to try this one, so modern & pretty!

  15. I've always thought about trying an epilator! I have dark hair which is always a pain but the price has always stopped me from buying one in the past- it'd be great to be able to try this out though. They look really effective and the exfoliating brush head looks great from the video. Saying good-bye to my razor would be absolutely fab! Great review, definitely going to look into this product more now.

  19. I'm amazed that so many other girls seem to have the same problem as me! After I've shaved, I can't actually shave again for at least 2 weeks because my skin is so bad - rash all over and ingrown hairs!
I've heard lots of things about epilators but I've never gotten around to buying one myself - it would be brilliant to win one :)

  25. What a fantastic looking product! I've tried an epilator once...that was the first and last time, it hurt so much! It would be great to try a modern design, rather than mum's nineties model. The exfoliator head looks just what my pale, flaky pins need now the weather's getting cold. Thanks guys!

To anyone who may be put of by the pain, perservere, it's worth it & I have found using it 'wet' is less painful, xxx

  31. I would have never thought to use one of these due to the pain but now I would definitely like to try one. I get really dark hairs near my ankles on both legs so I'm constantly have to wax but that tends to be very painful so I've had to resort to using cream which is expensive to keep buying. Also I tend to get a lot of ingrown hairs under my arms. This seems like the perfect solution.

  32. It would be wonderful to be able to try this epilator and hopefully experience minimal pain. I am constantly fighting with the rapid regrowth and unbearable itchy rashes that follow. I have a very low pain threshold and am desperate to find something that will prolong each use but also be bearable to use x

  34. I have massive problems with ingrown hairs and also I have sensitive skin so quite often end up with razor burn, no matter what kind of razor I use. I am really fair so in summer months I often end up wearing leggings instead if lovely dresses. I have tried waxing many times but I am allergic to the wax. I would love to win this in the hope of having my pins out in summer and not having the irritation after shaving

  36. Hi I would love, love, love to receive one Braun Silk- épil7!
I've the same problem Nic has, huge ingrown hairs do to dry and sensitive skin. I had one Silk-épil in the 90's, and I used till it died, so to receive one now specially with a brush head would be heaven!
