Little bit of Jurlique love

I love Australia, and on my many travels there I missed out South Australia. If only I had know about the Jurlique biodynamic farm nestled in the countryside I would have put down my beer and taken a look.
The 153 acre farm in the Adelaide Hills is where Jurlique grow the herbs, flowers and plants that are used in their product range.
Jurlique have their own farm so that they can ensure all the produce are organic and naturally farmed.
Everything from the farm is hand picked and closely observed to ensure produce is being nurtured in the correct manner.
You can even take a tour of the farm if you are lucky enough to be in that part of the world.

On to the products...

I always seem to bang on about the packaging of products but I'm a girly girl and if I like the look of it I'm more inclined to want to pick it up and play with it.
I'm also one of those sad people who keep products in their boxes!

The cardboard boxes these come in all have hand drawn images of the flowers they contain. A description and how to use is also on the box and a list of every ingredient.

Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense Deluxe Edition-200ml-£40.00

Luxurious bespoke coloured glass bottle with spritz style application nozzle.
This hydrating mist is packed full of Rose flower extract, not just one type of rose but 5! Rosa Gallica, Rosa Centifolia, Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis, Rosa Canina and Rosa Multiflora..who knew there were so many types!
This mist can be spritzed on the skin before makeup to hydrate or during the day to freshen the skin and leave a refreshed, dewy skin.

Good for people with dry/dehydrated skin and also for people with sensitive skin to calm and soothe.
This is a dressing table product not a handbag spritz, unless you like a heavy handbag.
Sometimes I feel like these types of facial mists evaporate on the skin and take away any moisture I already had but I didn't feel like this product did that. My skin felt lightly moisturised and my makeup underneath wasn't disturbed at all.

Skin Balancing Face Oil-50ml-£35.00

When I think of a balancing oil I automatically think it's for an oily skin however I forget that dry skins also can have an in-balance.
This oil is so lightweight it can be used in the morning or the evening. If you have an oily/combination skin I would wear it more in the evening.

This oil contains plant and fruit oils from Avocado, Jojoba, Shea butter, evening primrose, daisy, carrot and lemon. All of which provide deep moisturisation, help to even the skin tone whilst protecting against environmental pollutants.
I can't pin point the scent but I think it's the Jojoba scent that comes through the strongest.

The oil is dispensed in a dropper style application. Drop 2-3 drops onto fingertips and lightly press onto the face and neck. Oil is quickly absorbed and skin feels silky and soft.
After sleeping in this oil my skin felt supple and soft with no oily feeling. My pillow also smelt amazing!

Best for a dry skin but don't be scared to use an oil on an oily skin. Fight oil with oil, I promise you it works!

Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator-50ml-£34.00

Fruit Enzyme exfoliators are great for a sensitive skin or for those who don't like the feel of a scrub on the skin.
This exfoliator works by dissolving the dead skin cells rather than scrubbing and dragging the skin.

This exfolitor goes on with a water like texture. Spread a thin layer all over the face and leave to dry for 5 minutes. It does dry off really quickly to an invisible finish.
Inside the pump style glass bottle are sugar cane, willow, lemon, apple, green tea, chamomile, witch hazel and desert lime.
These ingredients help to break down the dead skin and leave a fresh canvas of skin behind.

Once dried simply wash off or if you use a muslin cloth or flannel you can remove using this.

I can't decide if I like the smell. Quite citrusy but with a slightly earthy undertone. I can put up with it for 5 minutes though.

Results were good. Skin feels soft and clean with a radiant glow.
No redness or irritation left behind because of the lack of scrubbing which makes this a great exfoliator to use before a night out or applying makeup.

Lastly but by no means least......

Rose Silk Finishing powder-10g-£24.50

Here at Pixiwoo we adore this powder.
We always think the sign of a good powder is one which lets up a ploom of fine powder when you open the lid. This shows it's lightweight and super fine so there will be no threat of a caked face.

In a mirrored pot containing a puff this powder is dispensed through a shaker style pot.
It is translucent and softly mattes the skin down.
The best thing about this powder is the scent. The one pictured above (which is good for a dry skin) is scented with rose. Whenever we have used this on a shoot our models are always amazed by the scent and always immediately go out and purchase!

Although this powder has ingredients that benefit a dry skin, it can be used on any skin type really but there are also a citrus finish powder for oily skin and a Lavender powder for an ageing skin.

This powder holds the makeup in place and is so light it can be built up throughout the day with no heavy product buildup and doesn't flash back on camera either.

This powder needs to be in everyone's makeup bag.

Check out the Jurlique website and view all their fab products to suit your skin care needs.
