The Great and Powerful Oz

-->
With the release of The great and Powerful Oz on March 8th here in the UK, Urban Decay have launched two colour palettes.
The Glinda palette is based around the look of the good witch of the south played by Michelle Williams and the Theodora palette in the style of Mila Kunis's character the wicked witch of the west.
Unfortunately Rachel Weisz's wicked witch of the east didn't make the grade for a palette.

Typical Urban Decay style tin palettes containing six shadows. Two of the shadows in each palette are a split shadow of two colours.
Each set has it's own eye pencil.

Glinda

Pink and gold star printed packaging instantly gives the feel of the good witch.

The two split colours are particularly gorgeous. Aura is a split of ethereal pearl and a moon shine blue, whilst the colour Oz is a split of a bronze gold, shot with shards of silver glitter and a bright silver.
The powder pink called Magic and soft apricot called Illusion are great shades to use as a socket contour.
The deeper shade called South is an antique beige with high metallic shine and colour Tornado is a regal, rich purple.
All of these shades are a metallic or frosted finish.
Colour payoff is great although they do drop a little so be sure to clean up with your foundation brush afterwards.
Line the eyes with the included short pencil in Rockstar. These pencils are super soft, glide on and blend well with good staying power and safe to use on the waterline.

Super Saturated high gloss lip colour in a soft terracotta rose finishes off the look. This feels creamy without stickiness and gives a light reflective finish.
If you are unsure how to use these colours don't panic as the palette comes with a 'get the look' card detailing how you can create Michelle Williams look during the film.

Theodora

The more sinister palette is for the wicked witch of the west Theodora.
Black and pastel tin packaging this time and the shadows inside are more earthy, smokey tones.

The split colours are brassy gold and jet-black infused with fine green glitter called Spell and a moss green with golden pistachio called Jealous.
Satin finish biscuit base colour (Broken) is great for an under brow or inner eye highlight, Beware is the matte shade in the palette. This is a slightly sepia tone, which will look great blended under the eye to create smouldering natural shadow fitting of an evil villain!
The dark colours are both a satin finish. Bewitch is a chocolate brown and West is a rich brown with a mauve hue.

Nothing other than a black kohl would do and as before this is a super soft 24/7 glide on pencil.

Again lips are complimented with super saturated high gloss lip colour in a vibrant cherry red.

'Get the look' card helps you to place the colours exactly where Mila wears them in the movie.
Or check out Nic's tutorial below, for those that want to emulate Rachel's look in the movie, Sam has created a tutorial for the look which will upload next week.
