We are lucky enough to get to experiment with lots of different products and we often come across budget products that are the perfect dupes for luxury cosmetics.
Here a some of our favourite dupes.

MAC 3d glitter particles are slightly larger and have a slightly greyer appearance on camera although in the flesh they appear more similar.

MAC Cornflower Pigment £15.50 Vs Stargazer Eye
dust in Number 21 £3.00
and has a slightly more
sparkly finish

MAC Harmony is slightly more beige and Earthen Rose has more peachy undertones. Earthen Rose comes up a little warmer on the skin but they have exactly the same matte finish on the skin. The closest we could find with the same texture and hue.
in No 12 £4.99

These are identical except NARS has more of a glitter running through it and Sleeks' blush has a stronger, brighter pigment

MAC Cromagraphic pencil in Primary Yellow £13.00 Vs Sleek Eau La La pencil in Canary Yellow £4.00
This colour and texture is spot on. They both stain the skin in the same way after you have taken it off too!
If you like these bright chromagraphic pencils then you should check out Sleeks range as they have loads of great dupes for the MAC ones.

ReplyDeleteHi, what were the lashes brand name pls? 10x
ReplyDeleteI have not commented until now. I want to tell you how much I admire you! Wonderful blog, vlog, youtube channels. I always look forward to seeing what you've been up to. I work as a "Beauty Advisor" at a cosmetic counter in a department store here in the US. No training apart from having two sisters and "playing" with makeup for years and years. Your insights and advice have helped me grow in confidence in my current job. Thank you so much for sharing with us all. My budget is pretty tight most of the time so I always appreciate a good dupe post.
ReplyDeleteYou both are so warm and engaging on camera too. Very easy to watch and understand.
Thanks again!
Love these type of posts - please keep them coming!
ReplyDeleteI find Ponds Cold Cream can dupe for Liz Earle's cleanser in a pinch

ReplyDeleteAmazing how alike all these dupes are! x
ReplyDeleteNYX rust is a pretty good dupe for MAC cranberry :)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear the Sleek blush dupe has less glitter because I love the colour of Orgasm but the glitter was always a bit much for me. Looks like I'll be popping to superdrug this weekend! Thanks :D xx
ReplyDeleteAvon Earthen Rose is not available in my country... :(
ReplyDeleteGreat and useful job, thank you ladies !
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes! The glitter dupe is spot on, I have both of those and always recommend the Stargazer to my friends.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteI am very interested in MAC Harmony dupes!
They look amazing. I wish I'd have looked around Boots for a lip liner like Spice before purchasing straight from MAC. Those dupes are amazing, deffo gonna get the glitter and the yellow pencil. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!

The retro ramblings of a teen in the 90's!
Definitely going to try out Sleek's Rosegold blusher, I've heard so many great things about it and Nars Orgasm but Sleek is just a bit more purse-friendly for me ;)
ReplyDeleteI love this post! Please do more....maybe for those wonderful farfallina lashes...
ReplyDeleteLove this! I really think you should have this as a monthy series. You are spot on, helping us ladies to save some serious $$. Thank you so much and I really hope to see more videos like this in the near future!
ReplyDeleteHi, Where can you get the lashes that you mentioned in the video?xxx
ReplyDeleteloving the dupes, going to check out Sleek for those pencils and the rose gold blusher. thanks so much.
ReplyDeletethank You so much for that post :)
ReplyDeleteThis in great info! Thanks for the post! ^_^
ReplyDeleteHave you ever used any elf products?
ReplyDeleteWow, the bronze look identical and so do the lip liners as well as the rest of all the duplicates, but those two I will definitely be purchasing. I have been dying to try Bourjois and sleek, I don't know if they have them in the U.S but I love them from your tutorial. I am so curious to get the mascara, false lash, with the 360 rotating brush! Very helpful video. I am wearing YSL in Teint Radiance, I love it but too pricey do you have any suggestions? Love a Dupe for foundation video if you know of any? Thanks! xxoo
ReplyDeleteI do absolutely love the avon earthen rose blusher....
ReplyDeleteNice to see the Sleek Pencils. I've yet to try them but even with my MAC Pro discount looks like the Sleek will be a few dollars cheaper. Would love to hear more about the other colors and their textures.
ReplyDeleteHi I wonder if you could say where you ordered the lashes from: I would definitely wear them more often if they were this cheap!
ReplyDeleteI love posts like this! My favourite dupe is Revlon Vintage Lace single eyeshadow for Vanilla Cream from The Body Shop. The Revlon one is the same price The Body Shop one used to be ($8 CAD; all of The Body Shop single shadows are $12 CAD now) and you get a gram more product. It's my favoutite matte highlighter. I also think its quite similar to Blanc Type by MAC, but I haven't swatched them side by side.
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteMay i ask if anyone knows a good dupe for a) Mac St Germaine and b ) Mac brushes
Thanks

Love hearing about dupes, sometimes you just cant afford the real thing!!!
ReplyDelete@Vampi, I don't know about Mac St.Germaine but Crown Brushes annd Royal & Langnickel Brushes are good dupes for Mac Brushes! Hope that helps! :)

Fab video, really nice to know you can get similar at a more affordable price, I was going to ask what do you think of the Flawless Foundation from Avon? I've only been using it for about 2 weeks but i think it gives a nice coverage and very affordable. I have now invested in some beautiful MAC brushes only the basic ones but find this also helps hugely with the coverage....Keep up the Grat work ladies xx
ReplyDeleteFab video, It is so nice to know there are dupes out there that are more affordable. What do you think of Avon's Flawless Foundation as a dupe? I have only been using it for about 2 weeks but am finding it has great coverage and really affodable, especially now i have invested in some MAC brushes, the foundation brush really helps work it into the skin. Just a thought anyway...Keep up the Great work ladies xx
ReplyDeleteThe information on your website is good. Looking forward for more postings.
ReplyDeleteMy all-time favourite dupe is ELF Studio Blush and Bronzer Compact (£3.50) for the NARS Orgasm/Laguna Duo. They're supre pigmented, and really do suit anyone - just like the NARS! Thanks for the videos, ladies.

ReplyDeleteSam, what lipstick do you wear in this video? Gorgeous lipstick and looks gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteI loved Nic's makeup in this video. Can you tell what products she used?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
can't hear the brand of cheap makeup versus chanel. There is a glare on the bottle and my volume doesn't go up high enough.
