We still get very excited by new products here at Pixiwoo towers and this week we are fighting over the Caviar Manicure sets by Ciate.
Available in three different shades each kit containing a base nail varnish colour which you apply two coats of and then a bottle of coloured beads which you pour over whilst the base varnish is still wet.
Gently push the beads in to set them and leave to dry.
They are really fun and will draw lots of attention.
Today I have tried the Rainbow kit and my nails resemble those chocolate Jazz sweets (if you're as old as me you will know what I am talking about!)
I thought maybe by the end of the day I would have only a few beads left as they would catch on my hair, zip etc but they adhere really well and have not been annoying at all!
They are great for a special occasion or to jazz up an outfit but perhaps not your everyday look.
Word of advice though, when you take it off do it over a bin as the little beads go everywhere. It does come off really easily though.

ReplyDeleteThat is so much fun! I think I've seen this before, only with cheap-o materials from craft stores and regular nail polish. It didn't even occur to me that it looked like caviar before reading your post, haha.

I have seen the promo pics of this manicure before, but wasn't sure how it would actually turn out if done at home. It's good to hear that the beads don't randomly fall off and get caught on things =) I may need to try this!!

I’m going to try this but 'Homemade' style! I’m sure you could use any old micro beads to get the same affect.
ReplyDeleteP.s I’m old enough to remember Jazz sweets - still eat them in fact! :-)

I just cant get my head around this product. Not sure I am a fan. It just seems to expensive/fiddly for my practical day to day life. Possibly a one evening thing, but not at £18. That's an Estee launder liptick!! xx
