A firm product of the moment has got to be the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser from NARS. It is the perfect boost for skin both in terms of colour and of luminosity. The product is due to launch in Spring 2012 and I'm sure it will be flying off the shelves because it is just divine!
I've been using it in place of foundation recently, which is something I tend to do anyway when my skin is in good shape or I don't want a full on make-up look, and I am so loving its finish. It has a pretty lightweight formula and blends nicely into the skin, leaving it feeling rejuvinated and hydrated and giving a gorgeous, healthy glow in terms of appearance. For me it has just the right amount of colour - a small amount of coverage, but I think its main focus is to get skin looking radiant, hydrated and bright, whilst the colour keeps the skin even and prevents dullness.
The amazing thing about this tinted moisturiser is that it comes in a mighty nine shades which means, unlike other tints that come in only a few colours, there is such a great variety to chose from and you can therefore get the best colour tone for your skin and adding to the finished result looking natural. The colour I have been using is 'St Moritz' - one of the medium shades.

Although I haven't been using it for 4 weeks, it claims to reduce appearance of pigmentation and dark spots in this time, which sounds promising considering my initial love for this product, and the effectiveness it has already delivered. I will get back to you on that one, but if it does deliver this too, then it will be a 'holy grail' product. It is also SPF 30 which is a huge bonus, keeping the skin well protected from the sun, and although the sun is always about, this will be a great product for those natural and dewy summer looks. As well as this it has anti-ageing elements, so the product is simultaneously make-up and skincare with its collagen boosting, soothing and anti-ageing benefits.
See it on the counters soon, I'm excited... can you tell!
Sounds interesting- a possible product for the summer? I'll be interested to see what you think after 4 weeks! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm always up for using less makeup when my skin is good and always wear a tinted moisturiser when on holiday. I was looking to buy a new tinted moisturiser for the summer and this definitely looks like the one I'll be trying. This or the Laura mercier one. which one would you recommend?

I'm really interested to hear your thoughts on it after the four weeks! Sounds promising :) x
ReplyDeleteHope to see you use it in a tutorial soon!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
I'm also very interested in your four week review. I've used Becca's Luminous Skin Colour for years - maybe it's time for a change?
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm excited to try it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the heads up!
As a no-foundation gal, this review is great!
ReplyDeleteHave a look at my new updated blog?

I'm really excited to try this! With my oily skin I have found that I like the look of tinted moisturizers much more than actual foundation. I love Laura Mercier's oil-free tinted moisturizer, so this makes me really excited because I love Nars. I just hope that they have a foundation light enough. Thanks for the update!
ReplyDeleteSound like a perfect tinted moisturiser ! I've been waiting for a product like this for a long time, definitely try it when it comes out :)

This product sounds too good to be true! I was going to repurchase my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser but maybe I should hold out for this one! Anything with an SPF, anti-ageing properties and gives a good glow gets a big smile from me!xx

How would you say the coverage compares to other tinted moisturizers? More than Becca Luminous Skin Color? What about Laura Mercier?
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance!
Hi there, It definitely more coverage than Becca Luminous skin and perhaps more than LM. Try it, let me know what you think.
DeleteI will! Thanks so much!
Deletethat is so exciting! one of my favourite brands coming out with one of my daily use products! I have to try it! hopefully it comes out in canada around the same time as when they launch it everywhere else! canada always is so late on product launches!

Sounds pretty good. I wonder how it stacks up next to laura mercier's tinted moisturizer?

I was at Nordstrom over the weekend picking up some NARS products, and the lady at the counter gave me some samples to try out. I LOVE this product!!! I am an avid Estee Lauder double wear/ double wear light user and I think I am going to make the switch for the summer. It felt great on my skin, and did not "soak" into my skin like some other tinter moisturizers tend to do on me.
ReplyDeleteseems nice! can't wait to try this for the summer

hello,
ReplyDeleteI cann't find your wedding pics. where are they? I just saw the video you made when choosing your photographer. Dying to see them please help:)
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI've read and heard so many times to wait between applying moistuirizer and foundation 20 minutes for a "normal" foundation and 10 minutes for a mineral powder foundation.
In your tutorials it often seems that you apply the foundation directly.
Please tell me the right way...and excuse my terrible english, I'm from germany and my school days have been once upon a time...
Thank's a lot, a pixiwooaholic ;)
I am trying to wait until March when Sephora will have this in the store. It seems like you can order online from NARs already. I am debating if I am 'Alaska' or 'St Moritz'. I am a light to medium olive skin... what do you think? --thanks in advance. Best!
ReplyDeleteIm using the Clinique one now, but I'm gana try this one now! Thanks!

I just ordered this today, I can't wait to try it out...everyone is saying it is pretty amazing! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteJust received this from Nordstroms--who has it exclusively right now in the states. I've never been a big fan of tinted moisturizers because of the limited color choices but I really like how this looks on the skin so far and the higher SPF is so great. Its not very moisturizing (I have very dry skin--esp in the winter) but it doesn't settle into fine lines and pores. It gives a great luminosity to the skin without being sparkley or shiny like Revlon photoready. I would say the coverage is light. I ordered Alaska and think I will probably order St Moritz to mix as summer approaches. I am NC30 for reference.
