The moisturiser benefits from SPF 20 so is great to wear on a day to day basis, especially when the sun is out (which hasn't been much in the UK!), it is easy to apply and blends into the skin well and has quite a warm tone to it so it doesn't go at all ashy on the face. However, it has quite a matte like finish, and although it definitely does give a healthy sheen to the skin, because it is quite matte it sets onto the skin quickly so it requires quite a bit of product. Alternatively, to get the more dewy finish I put a good layer of moisturiser underneath it so it looks more luminous.
It also evens out skin tone with no patchiness or difficulty to achieve a flawless look. It is buildable, so depending on what kind of look you like you can amend it to suit you. Personally, I prefer a small amount of tint because too much appears powdery on my face with this product. I must also mention that it doesn't work well at covering blemishes but it is a fantastic base for the skin.
I also prefer the packaging much more than the older design which was much more busy and chaotic. The new packaging is sleek and simple yet bright and eye-catching. Compared with other tinted moisturisers in it's league this is a really great one that quickly transforms and lifts the face with a quick squeeze of the product!
I want it! I'd liek to see how it looks though...

the one thing i dont like about tinted moisturisers is that they look too shiney and oily on me so maybe this would be better as it is a little more matte :D

I'm also a big fan of the Laura Mercier one. It's a staple in my makeup kit. The only thing I haven't figured out is if I should put on primer prior to a tinted moisturizer. Do you recommend using a primer first?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Do you girls now that correcy amount of SPF in order to work and realy protect the skin is 2ml( tea spoon),less than that is meaningless?
ReplyDeleteI love this moisturiser, I used it all over summer too and it worked wonders on my skin! :)
ReplyDeleteI so agree regarding the packaging... the older one used to put me off as it was so "busy" - but this actually stopped me the other day and I certainly considered buying it. Silly really, when the only thing that I can tell that's changed is the packaging. However, I have pretty discoloured skin, so decided it wasn't for me, and this review only confirmed that. Thanks girls! x
ReplyDeleteooo, i just got the old packaging of this because it was majorly on sale. I'm glad you seem to like it so much!

good to know, but I am trying out Salma Hayek's new line of tinted moisturizers and it's breaking me out. I love tinted moisturizers in the summer too since I live in Florida, it's so humid!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'd make a review/application of it.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see! and you guys knows how to make a great review!
Does this come in darker shades as well? I've heard about it and now that you've reviewed it I'm interested.

This is great to hear. Summers in SW Ontario are wicked humid. I have not been able to get the Mercier product, but Urban Decay is accessible.
