Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

This product has been on the counter for quite a while now and it really is a brilliant creation in the mascara stakes - a mascara designed particularly for those awkward and fine bottom lashes. It is about half the size of a regular mascara tube and the wand is very small which makes for accurate results. It works wonders on the bottom lashes, the small element to the wand ensures that there is no smudging and separates the lashes with ease and although not waterproof it is tubing so does not budge throughout the day.

You can use it as an all over mascara but of course it has a specific purpose and has been created for the bottom lashes, so although it is not just a general mascara I think investing in it will transform the lashes because it really does make a difference. It allows for precise application, evenly separating and defining each lash on the bottom with no clumping because of its smaller benefits. It also is so quick to apply, no more messing about with a big wand trying to make it even and presentable, it simply grabs each lash so quickly and lengthens and defines it with ease. It is also really good for the inner and outer corners of the top lashes because with the small wand you can easily reach the ones that often a bigger wand would miss.

The packaging has a sweet floral design and its small size makes it easily identifiable in a make up bag, it also has an element of charm because it is so small! Clinique bottom lash is available worldwide and retails at £10 in the U.K so is not overly expensive but perhaps seems a little bit more than you might think because it is for a specific purpose - but it really is worth it!

  2. one thing that would be any kinda of down fall is that if you were to keep it as part of your professional kit you couldn't use the disposable wands. the thing that makes this mascara so wonderful is the wand....ah well!

  4. I ADORE this mascara! Not so much on myself, but when working with clients, it is truly fantastic! It really allows you to get all the bottom lashes without the mess or fuss. I even run it over the tips of the top lashes just to make sure everything is covered :) After I got it (and raved) my mom got her own just because she's a messy mascara girl! Great post as always ladies!!

  7. My grantmother actually bought me this past June?(I think it was) while picking up her usual Clinique pack. I was stoked! It really was a great addition to my slowing growing collection. It's all used up now, so I'm in need of a need one asap.

  10. I work for Clinique and I LOVE our bottom lash mascara. You girls are so beautiful and I love watching your videos. You are not only gorgeous but are well spoken as well. Glad you loved the mascara. Have you tried Cliniques new lid smoothies? They are a great alone or as a shadow base, 8 hours of wear and no creasing. I wear them everyday either under my shadow or alone. If you have not tried them you should. They are also loaded with antioxidents.

  12. I'm dying to see you try/review the new Dior adhesive re-usable liquid liners! I got an email about them from Sephora, and saw them on the runway. I'm very curious to see what you two think of them!

  13. This mascara is great for the purpose of it, but am I the only one who wishes it would not give so much product from one dip. I find myself scrapping the excess on top of the opening.

    Thanks for this post! :)

  17. Haven't been convinced by this before only because of the fact that my bottom lashes are almost as long as my top lashes (which are extremely long!) when I do wear mascara on my bottom lashes it makes my eyes look almost clown-like and as though I'm wearing costume makeup. Do you have any suggestions for this or should I just abandon mascara on the bottom lashes altogether as I have done in the past? Any suggestions would be welcome!

  18. That sounds nice- minus the "tubing" formulation, I hate that no cleanser I've tried so far can easily remove tubing mascaras! I'm constantly picking elastic mascara strings from my lashes, if that makes sense!

  20. i havent tried this but i have the daniel sandler baby jet which is quite similar, having a small wand makes it so much easier for really fine lashes and the inner corner etc :D

  22. I love this product. I never used to go near my lower lashes with mascara because it always flaked or smudged all over the place. But this stuff is brilliant and the brush is so darn cute!

  23. Hi Sam and Nic,

it's a really great Mascara. But it's not sold in Germany. It's a shame, but true. Thanks anyway for the solution to my all time problem ;o)

  24. I've been curious about this since I first heard of it, so it's great to see a review of it. I think I may need to pick some up because I have a terrible time with my bottom lashes smudging and have tried dozens of mascaras without much luck. Maybe this one will be different!

  25. i need to get this already, especially now that i know it's only 10 pounds! i thought it would be at least 15 for some reason!

  26. ah guess I'm not the only one with the problem of extremely fine, not to mention out of order lashes....gotta try this! My mom uses Clinique a lot I wrote on my blog just recently on this problem....lauralauras.blogspot.com

  27. for me this was a waste of money. My bottom lashes are i think so tiny and fine that i get too much mascara formula on my lashes. I prefer it use an eye liner to make my eyes stand out.
