Australia bound

We fly off to Australia tomorrow which is very exciting, just got to get through the 27 hour flight from hell first.

On the 26th of February Nicola and I will be working on the BECCA counter in David Jones on Elizabeth Street, Sydney. We have a full day of 45 minute appointments booked in.
We are thrilled to have teamed up with what we consider to be the quintessential Australian cosmetics brand to offer these appointments.

Fabulous new brush from Louise Young

It's a good day. The brand spanking new LY38b brush has just been delivered by the postie.
Finally, the search for a replacement for my beloved and dying MAC 224 (old) is over.
The current 224 isn't even close to being the same brush. It's too splayed to define the crease with any precision although I love it for different reasons. It is an amazing concealer brush and a good alternative blender if all your 217's are dirty.

As yet I do not have a price for this brush but I would imagine that it will be in line with the LY38 @ £17.00 which makes it £4 cheaper than the MAC 224

Last night Nic and I attended the 2nd ever Rodial 'Beautiful' Awards.
Rodial say 'These awards recognise and celebrate women of style, beauty and elegance - women who embody the Rodial philosophy. Rodial Founder Maria Hatzistefanis was keen to emulate the success of the first Rodial 'Beautiful' Awards in 2010 and added additional categories for Best Beauty Pages and Best Beauty Blogger.'

The Awards were held in the Billiard room of the exquisite Phillipe Stark designed Sanderson Hotel just off Oxford Street in London.
The room itself features a winding staircase that passes a beautiful stained glass window/wall (nothing to do with the awards but look how beautiful it is!)

Guests in attendance included Tess Daly, Jade Parfitt, Top make-up artists Mary Greenwell and Charlotte Tilbury, Nicola Roberts, Jo Wood, Sadie Frost, Amber Le Bon, Bonnie Wright, Emilia Fox, Jasmine Guinness, Julien McDonald and Bella Freud who's Hoping charity was being benefited.
Calum Best presented the first award to Liz Hambleton from Grazia for the Best Beauty Pages.
Maria Hatzistefanis presented the next award for Best Beauty Blogger to... PIXIWOO.

Other winners included Tess Daly (Daly Beauty for M&S) for Best New Make-up & Perfume Brand and Amber Le Bon for Freshest New Face.

Nic and I had a wonderful evening and we only have you guys to thank for that, so a massive thank you for taking the time to vote for us.
I drank a raspberry martini for each and every one of you... well not quite.
