Allan 'Whitey' Snyder

Whitey Snyder was Marilyn Monroe's makeup artist throughout her career: from her first screen test at Twentieth Century Fox in 1946 to her funeral makeup in 1962. The pair developed a very close working relationship.
Towards the end of her life, Monroe asked Snyder to prepare her face if she were to die before him. This was a promise that he fulfilled, after her death in 1962. Snyder was also a pall-bearer at the funeral.

  1. i wanted to know where you got the folding eye shadow palettes that look like the mac pro palettes from your kit video, except expandable looking of course?

thank you for sharing your talent with us. i think you're amazing.

  2. interesting step-by-step instructions for marilyn's makeup:

  3. I once read and still remember that Ben Nye was Marilyn Monroe's makeup artist but he decided to assign Allan Snyder to work with her in 1951 since Ben was too busy. Snyder was with her all thereafter.

  4. Thank you for this..I had no idea.
